Notice for ALL PATIENTS:

All appointments require a prescription from the patient’s referring physician.

All mammogram patients should bring any previous mammogram films with them to their
appointment.

Patients’ physicians are notified of examination results by written report within two to
three days of the examination. Abnormal results are phoned into the physicians’ offices
within 24 hours of the examination.
Special Appointment Notes:

Priority Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) biopsy appointments are given for patients with
palpable breast masses, nipple discharge, and/or a change in the appearance of the
breast.
Same day appointments are offered.

Diagnostic Mammograms are scheduled for those patients with breast problems and
and high-risk patients. These require a physician’s written order.

For specialty diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, ultrasound biopsy, MRI or
Mammotome, a review of the patient’s mammogram by the radiologist is required
before the actual appointment to ascertain which biopsy best suits the patient’s needs.
