Colorectal Surgery

Our board-certified gastrointestinal and colorectal surgeons use their advanced training in disorders of the colon and rectum to treat and manage benign and malignant conditions of the colon and rectum, using surgical and nonsurgical protocols.
Among the disorders they treat are:

  • Anal, rectal and colon cancer

  • Crohn’s Disease

  • Ulcerative colitis

  • Diverticulitis

  • Fecal incontinence

  • Rectal prolapse

  • Rectal and vaginal fistulas

  • Birth injuries

  • Anal fistulas

  • Anal fissures

  • Hemorrhoids

In many cases, a wide range of conditions, including ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, hemorrhoids and fecal incontinence, for instance, can be treated and managed without surgery.  When surgery is warranted, often these colon surgeries may be performed laparoscopically. This minimally invasive procedure, which requires only 4-5 small incisions, generally results in less pain and faster recovery compared with traditional surgery.  We have also introduced robotic surgery into our armamentarium, and are offering many procedures using this cutting edge technology.
