Occupational Therapy (OT) focuses on helping individuals achieve independence in activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, cooking and functional tasks. OT also addresses cognitive impairments including decreased memory, attention problems and difficulty following directions. Patients with hand injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome and hand and wrist fractures, work with Occupational Therapists to improve function and decrease pain.
