Patients at the Wound Healing Center receive individualized, comprehensive treatment based on evaluation to determine the underlying cause of their wounds. The Wound Healing Center at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center offers patients:

"In recent years, there have been dramatic breakthroughs in wound care," explains Richard Bloomenstein, M.D., F.A.C.S., P.A., Surgical Director of The Wound Healing Center. "At the Wound Healing Center you'll find a team of doctors and nurses using a unique and highly effective approach to individualized care."

Patients and their families are taught to care for  their wounds at home.  They are advised of nutrition and exercises that can aid the healing process and prevent future wounds. Patients with foot wounds learn how to protect their feet and walk properly, sometimes with specially designed shoes.
